"The Office is Greener on the Other Side"
By Hilary Thomas
Hilary Thomas: Conner has grown to be not only a co-worker but also one of my friends and someone that I turn to when I need advice or when I just need to cheer up. He has proven to be a stand up guy and just a good person all around. I'm pretty sure I could walk over to his office right now, ask for a snack and he wouldn't fall short. He often talks about his family which is something that I admire, not only within him, but also within the entire company. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Conner and I would like you to get to know him a bit too. So here are some things that all of us are hearing for the first time.
Hilary Thomas:"How did you first meet CEO Colin Wayne?"
Conner Green: "I first met Colin back in early 2011, we both worked in the PSMAC for the Missile Defense Agency. He was quiet, and soft spoken... but meant what he said when he said it. He was motivated to be his own boss one day. It was always a good shift working with him, he is very humble but has the confidence of a rock star. I think the first time I spoke to him, I was giving him a hard time about being able to walk through a door without his shoulders fitting the door frame (haha). I think we have developed a pretty good relationship. I have a lot of admiration and respect for him."
Hilary Thomas: "If you could go back in time for one day, where would you go?"
Conner Green: "Id go back down the alter to see my wife walk down again."
Hilary Thomas: "What is your greatest fear?"
Conner Green: "Loosing my daughter"
Hilary Thomas: "What do you like most about your job?"
Conner Green: "I'm in a lax work environment. I am able to focus on whatever task is at hand"
Hilary Thomas: "What is your biggest pet peeve?"
Conner Green: "Passing people on their right. (driving)"
Hilary Thomas: "Why did you leave the military?"
Conner Green: "I didn't want to. I was honorably discharged under chapter 5-17 in 2008"*
Hilary Thomas: "What is one question you hope that I don't ask you right now?"
Conner Green: "For a picture of my mustache"
(We are having a mustache competition that runs through the end of may. Colin has promised $100.00 to both the best and the worst mustache)
Hilary Thomas: "What did you want to be when you grew up?"
Conner Green: "I always wanted to do stand up comedy or be an actor."
*When you're discharged from the Army, the discharge reason is listed on your DD-214, Certificate of Release or Discharge From Active Duty. If Chapter 5-17 is listed, this means you were administratively discharged because of a physical or mental condition that impaired your ability to successfully perform your duties.
